I glanced in the mirror what did appear there
Something I didn’t see before
I saw the young man, someone I once was
Asking me to hope once again
And I smiled to think that within me is that boy
That never lost the hope I have for tomorrow

60 years before me presently stunned in silence trying to understand where I am
Clinging on to memories and leaving hurt behind me
What have I learned and where do I go from here
